We, AdaptiveBee SASU, 20 Rue Bouvier, 75011 Paris, France ("Adaptivebee"; "we"; “company”), have enhanced, ‘forked’ the original, open source AdBlock Plus for Chrome in the current browser extension AdControl ("AC") which can be downloaded via at our website and maybe other domains. AdControl is a free extension that allows you to customize your web experience by blocking annoying ads, trackers and lots more. It's available for a most Chromium browsers, including UR and Chrome.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS: by downloading, installing or using the AdControl or by accessing or otherwise using the Service (as defined below) you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding your use of the Service. You understand and agree that we will treat your use of the Service as acceptance of the Terms from that point onwards. You further acknowledge that these Terms constitute a binding and enforceable legal contract between the Company and you. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE WEBSITE, DOWNLOAD OR INSTALL THE UR BROWSER OR USE THE SERVICES IN ANY MANNER.
AC is based on the open source project Adblock Plus, which licensed under GPLv3, and can be used by anyone free of charge. The use of AC is subject to the restrictions of the GPLv3. We have removed the tracking code of Adblock Plus for Chrome for your privacy, updated the extension icon, added an extra blacklist and inverted the behavior, meaning that it doesn’t block by default its on-demand. Please note that some website owners may not permit ad-blocking users to view their website. That must be respected, especially in the following cases:
You must not use AC on websites where you have agreed not to use it, i.e. by agreeing to Terms of Services on the respective website, not to use any ad blockers.
You are not permitted to use AC in connection with any tools to circumvent technological measures that effectively control access to websites.
By default, nonintrusive ads aren't blocked when using AC in order to support websites (learn more on AdBlock Plus website).
AC is provided "as is" and on an "as available" basis. Your use of AC is at your own risk. We don’t offer warranty or condition that AC will meet your requirements or be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free:
We don’t offer warranty or condition that all ads will be blocked;
You acknowledge and understand that the filters used may occasionally lead to blocked content. This is an unwanted side effect of some filters and cannot be completely avoided.
AC itself has no functionality; it does not block anything until you "tell" it what to block by clicking its icon while browsing a website, this will enable the external filter lists. Filter lists are essentially an extensive set of rules that tell AC which elements of a website to block. Adaptivebee has no influence on those filter lists.
This Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of the France. If you have no place of jurisdiction in France or in any other EU member state, if you have transferred your permanent domicile abroad after these Terms of Use take effect or if your domicile or usual place of residence is unknown at the time legal action is taken, the sole place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this agreement will be the location of our registered office.
Adaptivebee reserves the right to change these terms for any reason, and may make small, inconsequential changes to these terms without notice. Each time these terms are changed we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Adaptivebee’s website, services, browser or browser extensions constitutes your agreement to these Terms of Use and any revisions or updates.
